Home Tour by the carload!!
Enjoy touring a unique c. 1890 Swiss Chalet in the heart of Dunthorpe!
Four timed tours of the historic Arthur C. Emmons home are offered on Sunday, September 30th from 10 am - 3:30 pm. Parking limitations and a winding driveway mean that 10 vehicles (SUVs and mini-vans fine - no buses) can be parked on site per tour -- $50.00 per carload. Call the AHC at 503-231-7264 to reserve a one-hour tour at: 10 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, or 2:30 pm. The current owner will be on hand to talk about the history and architecture of this amazing home. Light refreshments. Thanks to board member Kim Moreland for organizing this unusual opportunity, and to sponsor Nouveau Realty.

Auction Committee Member Profile: Sue Gerritz
 Sue Gerritz
has always had a fascination with history. A native Portlander, she lived in Rochester, NY for a number of years. During her stay there she would make a point every Saturday take a map and a newspaper, and go with a friend to visit every garage sale in town to look at the antiques. For her it wasn't about buying and selling either, it was just about satisfying her love of historic artifacts. After moving back to Portland, Sue got involved with the AHC and she has been volunteering for 17 years! Read more about Sue here.
If you are an active member or business member of the AHC, we want to hear about it when you win a preservation related award, have your work honored in an exhibit, have your restored home featured in a magazine.Click here to learn how to share your news with us.
