Make A Difference - Volunteer At The AHC!

Art Show Set Up, July 5 - Help our July artist install the new art exhibit in our downstairs classroom, starting at 10:30 a.m. A couple or few hours will help a great deal!

First Friday Reception, July 6 - Volunteers needed to help with food and beverage service, set up, clean up, greet our guests, retail sales, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Heritage Home Tour, July 28th - House/door monitors needed, morning or afternoon shifts at one of five beautiful homes. Don't miss it!

We are accepting proposals for solo and small group art exhibits for 2013 and 2014.

Interested artists can email barbarap@visitahc.org for information on our exhibits and details for applying. Artists are also encouraged to attend one of our First Friday art openings to see how it all works.

Help us be more sustainable by renewing your membership promptly! Timely responses make your membership contributions go farther because they save paper, postage, and volunteer and staff time. You can even send in your dues or renew on-line prior to receiving a mailed notice by checking the renewal date noted on your newsletter mailing label.

Congratulations to all of the children who exhibited work in our special exhibit "Knock, Knock. Doors of the Imagination"!

Michelle Van Orsow engages in outdoor landscapes which study clean lines and structural views of engineering and architectural space. She utilizes a variety of media, from pigment sticks to linoleum blocks.

Our Members in the News    


New AHC Board Member, Tracy Prince has been awarded the 2012 Historic Preservation Award from the Northwest Examiner. A quote from The Examiner: "Tracy Prince, author of "Portland's Goose Hollow", wrote an exceptionally comprehensive and enlightening illustrated history of her neighborhood. The book has added substantially to the public record, exploring the neighborhood's evolution on social, architectural, and economic levels."
