Savoring the Summertime!

I hope this finds you well, enjoying a more relaxed pace and a bit quieter schedule.

This year, my plans for the summer include a deliberate effort to slow down.  Life is just flying by way too quickly and I want to take a minute to look around and appreciate it before it just passes by in a blur.  I am clearing chunks of time in our busy business and family schedules to allow for some quiet downtime.  I hope you too can find ways to relax and recharge and to truly enjoy the beauty of the season!

This month, we welcome our newest salesperson, Kimberly Hightower!  See below for a bit of info on this very cool lady and stop by soon to meet her in person.

And in keeping with the quieter pace, I have invited a colleague (and friend), Jennifer Urrezio to talk about our intuition.  Often, in our hectic lives, we can barely hear our cell phones ringing never mind 'hear' our intuition.  But hopefully, these quieter, calmer weeks will give us time to listen more closely to our bodies, to quiet our minds and to truly hear and feel what our intuition tells us.  As she explains, it can help guide us, in our daily lives and even in our business!

You will also find updates, website links to see some new jewels and Kerry Cordero's Style column.  As per that comment above about clearing my schedule, there are very few shows this month but we are always available for private appointments, to come by with the jewels to a backyard or poolside gathering with friends or for a fun Girls' Night Out.  Just call or email to set up a time that works for you!

Wishing you and your loved ones some well deserved rest.
Enjoy!

Jewelry that fits YOU!

blue earring

Sometimes things fit perfectly - like they were meant just for you!  Sometimes, one size really does, pretty much, fit all.  But that is not always the case.  And for those of you that are on the higher or lower end of the size spectrum, more often than not, bracelets and necklaces you find in stores just do not fit well.

At LisaMarie Dias Designs, we are happy to customize any of our pieces to fit you, fix any of your existing pieces to fit you better and to create new pieces of your own design!   Also, for each season, I create a few designs that are a bit longer or a bit shorter than the standard sizes.  If you would like to be placed on our mailing list for these offerings, please click on the links below and send a brief email with your request - we will be happy to send scans of the pieces as they are available.

And as always, we are happy to set up a private appointment to find pieces that fit you, and your style, perfectly!  Please call (973.275.9497) or email LMD@LisaMarieDiasDesigns.com to set a date.

Summer Styling
by Kerry Cordero

Happy Summer!

I've been thinking of the perfect topic for this month's newsletter and all I can come up with are flip flops, my favorite red tee that's faded to pink and a drink on the patio.  So instead of sending out good image and dress instructions this month, I'm sharing my best drink recipe of all time.

First of all, I met this drink in the Caribbean.  We had to anchor about twenty feet off the beach and swim ashore to the beach bar.  At first I thought, No Way, I am not jumping out of this boat in my new cute shorts, but then reconsidered when I saw the teal blue water and white sandy bottom.

So, off the boat, into the surf, out on the sandy beach and at the bar.  There were hammocks, a just cleared, sparkling, sun-filled sky, my friends and a drink called the Painkiller.  And the bar's name?  The Soggy Dollar of course, since everything is wet by the time you arrive.

They won't tell you how it's done, so I had to recreate this one a few times to get it just right.  Mix together a half shot of fresh squeezed orange juice, a half shot of cream of coconut, two big shots of pineapple juice and a big shot of dark rum. Mix, pour it over ice and, here's the most important part - grate fresh nutmeg over the top.  It doesn't matter what kind of glass.

So this month, for optimum style, I recommend relaxing with friends on your patio, in your backyard, or wherever the sun may find you.  And make sure you're wearing your softest, most faded tee.  Cheers!

How Can I Use My Intuition in Life and in Business?
By visiting guest Jennifer Urrezio

Whatever your chosen profession, you probably had some sort of training. This training could have been on the job experience; you might be self-taught or have had formal schooling. But are you utilizing your intuition during your work?  If not, you may be missing some very useful information!

Our intuition is our innate ability to know what is best, of the greatest good, for us. When we are conducting our lives and business in the greatest good of ourselves, then we are performing in the greatest good of the planet.

So how can we start utilizing our intuition more in our life and work? By having the desire to do so, you have already set the intention.  I work with clients all over the country to unveil and strengthen their intuition - you are already on your way!

The next step is to start asking your intuition questions. For example, if you have a major decision to make, follow the easy "Intuitive Check In Steps" below.

1.      Sit in a comfortable chair with both feet on the floor and palms up.
2.      Take in a deep breath and let it out slowly
3.      Focus on your tailbone and pelvic floor (this allows your mind to quiet)
4.      Ask if it is in the greatest good of all if you plan to XX.
5.      Listen to the answer.
6.      Ask if there is anything else you need to know about this situation.
Learning to trust your intuition takes time and experience. I suggest keeping a "hit" journal. A "hit," means guidance or intuitive information received and interrupted correctly.  This is so you understand how you see or feel things. It is important to have no attachment to your answers or judgment. Remember to have patience - think of intuition like a muscle if you don't use a muscle, then it becomes weak. And like any muscle, the more you use it, the stronger it gets.  You will soon find that using your intuition comes naturally and easy!
