All SORTS of exciting things are going on...
 
In addition to tracking down new artists, making new jewels and setting up future shows, I have also been working 'behind the scenes' re-designing the website and designing a new business card!  The new card is shown here (above) and you can click on it to visit the new site www.LisaMarieDiasDesigns.com 
 
More than just a new look, the new website has new pages and functions as well.  Please surf over when you get a minute and let me know what you think.  I would truly appreciate any feedback and comments on how to make the site the best it can be.  I am especially interested in confirming that all the windows and links work and if the images are fully visible for MAC users as I work on a PC!  And if you like what you see, please do forward a link to anyone that you think might like it too!

Let's talk about the recent Solar and Lunar Eclipses, February 6th and 20th respectively.  Eclipses are astronomical and astrological events that happen every six months and affect us in many ways on Earth and in our bodies. And when any body of energy has an event, so do we. But because we are unique no one person has the same experience.

 

Typically, the Solar eclipse connotes a gain, a growth factor, especially if you've been working toward manifesting a specific goal. And the Lunar Eclipse connotes a loss. If you're focused on removing a negative behavior from your life then this is when it goes-so consider the 'loss' a relief. And isn't it grand? What you've been focused on in the past six to twelve months or so is put at the front of the line.

 

See the Eclipses as a moving Cosmic walkway that, if you step on it, can bring you to your goals that much quicker. (Hint-next set of Eclipses are in August! Think clearly and with compassion now!)

 

Life is a co-operation between you and your Divine Cosmos.  The planets don't do anything to you except mirror back to you what you've been thinking on every level of your being!

 

Manifesting means: focusing on it until you see it in your reality. 

 

Many astrologers agree that the degree of an eclipse can be revisited in the months ahead by what's called a 'conjunction'-a conjunction is when two planetary energies meet and hold hands--intensifying issues.

 

We're in such a conjunction phase March 5 through March 12.

 A Backstage Pass to New York Fashion Week

 

I'm really excited to report on New York Fashion Week for Fall 2008.  As you may know, I work each season backstage as a supervisor for a team of dressers.  These are the people who dress the models in their "looks" and make sure that each model goes out exactly the way the stylist directed.  It's super exciting to be backstage and we definitely get to check out celebrities when they visit their favorite designers after the show. 

 

This year, by far, the most exciting show was Rock & Republic.  The best way to describe the energy, even from backstage, was all spectacle and rock show.  The clothes were a totally sexy combination of belted topcoats, black fedoras and clinging and draping gowns in purple or black.   Trends were sexy, menswear, collars or shoulders and gangster.

 

Other trends seen at the shows included continued bright and bold colors like the emerald green at Jason Wu.  Plaid was prevalent and Preen showed it on lovely tissue-silk blouses and tunic dresses.  Menswear and trousers were everywhere and cinched in waists were big too.  I saw bows a few times as well.  I can't wait to dress up for Fall now, even though I'm totally looking forward to warm weather in the Spring.  But either way, a pair of Rock & Republic jeans will be essential!
