Jennifer J. KAPFER
All women should have access to jewelry that makes them feel stunning and empowered. Therefore, Jennifer Kapfer creates her work specifically for the strong and vibrant woman who loves vivacious color and texture. To achieve this in her pieces, she draws on the immediate environment and natural surroundings to inspire the works she creates. These pieces are based on, not only color and texture, but also the incorporation and coalescence of a variety of media. As a result, her pieces have a lively organic context, but still maintain a strong sculptural component.
Throughout her career, Kapfer studied under a variety of mentors, which has allowed her to experience a wide range of creative techniques. While working under Sam Norgard, Kapfer began experimenting with sculptural media, including wire and beads. From this, she realized her passion was for repetitious form and the limitless possibilities that these media offer in sculptural art design. Jennifer is currently developing pieces for Norgard Designs, where they strive to continually mold and evolve the design of their effervescent organic forms of jewelry. Through constant experimentation with materials and evolution of concepts, they hope to create lively, exciting pieces that will inspire vibrant women everywhere. ________________________

Lori KEITH ROBINSON
Best known for her sublime impressionistic marshscapes, Lori Keith Robinson masterfully infuses the lush southern coastal grasses with vivacious luminosity. Oscar Wilde once said, "a work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament," and as such, Lori brings out the zealous rapture that unfolds as every painting progresses and her emotions are poured out onto the canvas. For every production of an artist is the expression of an adventure of their soul.* As a painter, Lori has always made it a practice to donate time and art to charity, and when interviewed in the current issue of South Magazine, as a painter who has perfected the art of giving back, she said "I've always just had a sense that it's right."* Above and beyond, her work serves to lift the spirits with it's alleviating and flourishing nature. We are so proud of Lori's continued support for local charities and the recognition she has received for being a "star of the south" by South Magazine. We hope you will have a chance to pick up the latest issue of South Magazine in order to read the whole article, and be sure to stop by the gallery to view Lori's latest works.

Cedric Smith
We are also honored to have, yet another one of our artists, to be featured as a "star of the south" in the latest issue of South Magazine. Cedric Smith continues to put his fine art skills to good use by giving back in creative as well as educational ways. Aside from donating to over 17 charities over the course of a year, he has a real soft spot for one group in particular. "If it's anything with children, I'll donate, "* he says. His purpose for giving is simple, "to teach as many children about art as possible." Cedric spends a portion of his time visiting juvenile detention centers and speaking with the youth in hopes of inspiring them to do better. He hopes to become a role model not only by his actions but also with his art, and his art speaks volumes. When gazing at one of his works, most always the main element you engage with happens to be a cherished tender face that stairs back at you with glee. We hope you'll have a chance to come in and view some of Cedric's latest works. * 1. " Altruistic Artists." South Magazine. Feb.-Mar. 2010: Issue 28_________________________
