LORI KEITH ROBINSON, New Works
|
|
Lori is one of Chroma's most popular artists and the demand for her abstracted southern landscapes
continues to grow. She has just finished a new body of
work that pushes forward her vision as she continues to expand and explore movement and
spontaneity. Robinson describes her thought
process, "my goal for this new body of work was to explore layering and mark
making. My stroke continues to be less controlled. Color was mood
oriented. Inspiration derived from paintings by Joan Mitchell and Elmer Bischoff fueled my desire." "We're always excited to see our artists move beyond their comfort zone and become more fluent with the brush," states Gallery Director, Sherry McBeath We hope you will be able to view the new work in the gallery before they find a home. New Artist: HEATHER DEYLING
|
Heather Deyling is a Professor of Foundation Studies at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has an MFA in painting from Tyler School of Art in Pennsylvania. Deyling's work tends to
move between representation and abstraction, always referencing the experience
of place. The highways, streets, and buildings represented in her paintings and
drawings form a narrative of travel, work, and home. Deyling's paintings have been exhibited regionally and nationally, most recently at Infusion
Gallery in Los Angeles, CA
and ADA Gallery in Richmond, VA.
She was also included in the LaGrange National Biennial at the LaGrange
Art Museum in LaGrange,
GA. We welcome Heather Deyling to Chroma Gallery, and hope you will too.
