8th Anniversary Exhibition, Thursday, October 23rd. 5-9pm Come join us as we celebrate our 8th year of promoting the arts in Savannah with an opening on Thursday, October 23rd from 5-9:00pm. The Eighth Anniversary Exhibition will feature new works by Chroma Gallery artists. This show will be held in conjunction with the SavFADA Fall Trolley Hop. The Savannah Fine Art Dealers Association is in its second year and the seasonal trolley hops have become a favorite among gallery patrons. A local jazz guitarist will provide the music, and a treasure hunt (which includes maps) should prove to be extremely entertaining. We hope to see you at the opening: Thursday evening, October, 23rd from 5-9.

Multiplicity: Jan Clayton Pagratis
Clayton Pagratis is showing a new body of work in a solo exhibition at the College of Southern Maryland in La Plata, Maryland. The exhibition titled, Multiplicity features oil paintings, encaustic works, and paint-chip collages. Multiplicity is a celebration of color and abstracted images that portray the artist's daily musings in the studio. Jan uses
a bricolage approach in much of the work. The artist explains, "my work is filled with ideas, memories, and
fragments of experiences associated with growing up and living on the
southeastern coast of the US. I'm interested in working with different media and building surfaces textures with paint, wax, found objects, and other oddities." The exhibition will be on display from October 10th through November 9th with a gallery reception and artist talk on Tues. Oct 14th, at noon, in the Tony Hungerford Gallery of the College of Southern Maryland.

Greg Barnes, Exhibition, Thurs. October 30, 5:30-8pm
Chroma presents an opening reception for an exhibition featuring North Carolina artist Greg Barnes. Barnes joined Chroma last year and has been exhibiting his exquisite pastels and oil paintings of the low-country and beyond. Barnes is well known for his bravura strokes of luminous color. The artist will be teaching plein-air pastel techniques during a three day workshop hosted by the Landings Art Association beginning Oct 27th through the 29th. The workshop will be structured around the basics of pastel painting and the challenges that come along with painting en plein-air. The class will include demonstrations along with plenty of painting time with "at-easel" instruction. We hope you'll join us on Thursday, October 30, from 5:30-8:00pm for a preview of Barnes' new works.
