Violation of Personal Privacy
Sept. 22, 2010, Federal agents confiscated from Daniel Chapter One, among other things: personal emails, mail, letters, cards, and files looking for:

"Any and all correspondence, notes, email, posters, signs, records, both written and electronic,which may be related to the representation, in any manner, expressly or by implication, that any DCO products are articles intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or other animals."
First the FTC harassed DCO for 3 years, charging DCO with "implied claims" constructed by the FTC. DCO has put up a righteous fight, and will soon bring the FTC to court. (DCO has not yet had due process.)
Violation of Free Speech
What could the federal agency protectors of Big Pharma do next to try to bring this natural healing ministry down? All DCO products are GRAS -- Generally Recognized As Safe -- made in licensed labs, with legal labels. The FTC has taken issue with testimonies (despite disclaimers) and information on the internet and in our two booklets despite DSHEA, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act, which allows for truthful structure/function claims. Determined, with utter disregard for The Constitution and our First Amendment rights, the feds have now dug into our personal correspondences! They have made our private communication their business. |
