In
2007 the U.S. Federal Trade Commission conducted an internet sting
operation to censure information about natural healing and dietary
supplements. One hundred thirty companies were attacked at that time, including one ministry, Daniel Chapter One.
While
all the companies settled, their health information extinguished, DC1
chose to fight. On principle, they are fighting for the right to share
truthful information with their community and the public. This fight
has become the people's fight. Is it not every individual's right to
access information and products to have a choice when it comes to
health care?
Who is more motivated to seek and find solutions
to personal health problems than you, the patient? Often the medical
doctor exhausts what he/she can offer, and in many cases individuals
discover their own answer when told "there's nothing more we can do".
Government censorship will remove the resources for people to able to
pursue alternatives and hope.

Dear Mr. President:
We
the undersigned are writing to you directly because we want you to do
something to protect the precious constitutional right of the American
People to make individual health care choices.
I am sure that
you and your wife, Michelle, agree that when it comes to the health of
our children, or some other loved one, that health care choices are
best left to the family and the health care provider of their choice.
By
this petition we want to inform you that for over 3 years now the
Federal Trade Commission has been waging war against that freedom of
choice. Allied with the commercialized manufacturers of drugs, the FTC
has unleashed its power against over 150 companies that promote and
market herbs and nutrition supplements to fight cancer and other
oftentimes "incurable" diseases.
All but one of those companies
have given up. Only Daniel Chapter One - a small Christian ministry -
has stood to fight for the God-given and blood-bought right to choose
for ourselves what is the right way to restore and maintain our bodily
health.
Daniel Chapter One now faces an FTC Order to shut down.
While they are in the process of taking the FTC to court, we have
decided to stand with them and petition you as our President to
intervene and stop this effort to dictate our health care choices.
What
is at stake, Mr. President, are the lives of many Americans who have
been given up by conventional medicine as incurable - sent home to
die. We ask you, no we urge you, to use the
power of your
great office to defend, preserve and protect our constitutional
rights. Your oath of office requires no less.
