The Character of Counsel
After nearly two years of standing up to the Federal
Trade Commission for our "inalienable rights under God" as recognized by the Constitution
and the Bill of Rights, my wife Tricia and I noticed that -- besides the
perversion of law, justice and truth on the part of the FTC -- there is a great
difference between the behaviors, and characters, of the counsel representing
the two parties in our case. These glaring differences of the FTC lawyers on
one side, and the Daniel Chapter One team of lawyers on the other side, were
noted by all those who witnessed the trial.

These character attributes can be observed and judged by our humanism, but there is a higher standard that should be applied. That measuring stick is the Word of The Lord, Yahweh. In the book of Proverbs, the book of Wisdom, the Lord describes the characteristics He detests, and in I Corinthians He describes Godly characteristics. Let us first look at those characteristics the Lord hates, and at the character of the FTC Counselors.
Proverbs 6 (New International Version)
16 There are six things the LORD hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies,
and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.
Haughty eyes: Haughty is defined as "blatantly and disdainfully proud".
Lead Attorney for the FTC exhibited this in exaggerated fashion! I really can't judge all of the FTC team as possessing this characteristic. However, they are all guilty since the Lord tells us that people condemn themselves by what they approve, and silence shows approval.
The man leading them, Len Gordon, displayed an animated, literal fulfillment of the first characteristic the Lord hates; blatantly and disdainfully proud. During prior depositions and in the court hearings, he would show disdain and speak with his eyes, rolling them up and around to communicate with the others (and at times would cover his mouth in mock laughter as we spoke). All who were there witnessed his haughty eyes. The Lord will judge.
A lying tongue: Every lawyer for the FTC and the Administrative Law Judge are guilty of this, the second characteristic that the Lord hates. From the commencement of the unrighteous attack against Daniel Chapter One, Satan the father of lies used all their tongues. The assault against Daniel Chapter One began with the FTC slandering and viciously maligning our ministry nationwide, actually worldwide. False statements were written by the FTC about us and distributed across the nation. We were immediately judged as being guilty of wrongdoing, when in fact the wrong done was to our reputation.
This lying tongue has directly slandered Jesus, by causing irreparable damage to the ministry of Christ Jesus through Daniel Chapter One.
Hands that shed innocent blood: This third characteristic may seem irrelevant, but let us take a look. Although literal blood shedding may not be fulfilled, every one of the FTC lawyers and Judge Chappell are all guilty! They have interfered with the healing ministry of Daniel Chapter One for almost two years now. Who knows but God Himself how many people have suffered and even died because they were not able to be ministered to through the work of Jim and Tricia? "My people perish for lack of knowledge" says the Lord. How many people have been denied the opportunity to hear the truth about the many ways that God's creation may have helped them, resulting in their harm, suffering, even death.
A heart that devises wicked schemes: The fact that Daniel Chapter One is in a conflict of colossal proportions due to a contrived international web sweep supports the FTC satisfying this, the fourth of the characteristics the Lord hates. Canada and the U.S. apparently devised the scheme that would lead to this assault on free speech and dissemination of knowledge relating to the use of herbs and natural dietary supplements that can help fight cancer.
This scheme, this witch hunt, drew in 130 nutritional companies, one of them the healing ministry of Daniel Chapter One. Of these, only Daniel Chapter One is actively fighting the evil. This scheme is far-reaching in its darkest form, having at its heart the total elimination of any natural approach to cancer and beyond; to suppress EVERY natural, God-given method that has application to any disease or illness.
Feet that are quick to rush into evil: Certainly the feet of those who devised this scheme, and those who executed the plan, were together and spent many hours seeking the rapid elimination of all 130 and any others. You would see how they also fit this characteristic if you were there to witness the rushing around of the FTC lawyers as they shuffled in and out of the FTC court in DC. They pushed and shoved nearly 200 pounds of paper in and out of cars into elevators into the court room then out. (You should have seen Len Gordon rushing into the elevator and out the FTC building and then scurrying down Pennsylvania Ave. in a mad dash to get back to New York to celebrate his anniversary.)
From the beginning, the FTC told us that we would lose in court and motioned to dismiss the case with a "guilty" verdict, without our ever being heard! They forbade the number of our initial list of 80 proposed witnesses, complaining that they didn't want to spend weeks at trial. They blocked even the 10 they allowed us, saying they did not need to spend time listening to testimonies. The final day in court, the day our Expert witnesses Dr. James Duke and Dr. Sally La Mont took the stand, the FTC once again acted very rushed, without apology. They had already decided we were guilty, before proven innocent, and wanted to hurry and be done with it. Even the judge closed the hearing by saying, "nothing personal . . .we're all just doing our job." I knew then, his mind was made up before any deliberation!
And so the FTC fulfill the fifth characteristic God speaks of that he hates.
A false witness who pours out lies: The FTC offered only one so-called "expert" witness, Dr. Dennis Miller, and it was through him that the sixth detestable characteristic the Lord hates was fleshed out in the trial. Dr. Miller perverted truth and poured out the lies of his false science. The "science" of Dr. Miller is riddled with fraudulent research and the lies of researchers who have been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, millions, to create the desired outcome of their research. The Cancer Industry, along with the entire Pharmaceutical Industry, is notorious for inflating statistics through manipulation. The god of Dr. Miller, his false science, is a house built on sand.
The FTC says that only "double blind placebo controlled studies" are acceptable as "scientific substantiation". This dogma is the clay feet of the giant statue of Nebuchadnezzar. You see, all the way through that flimsy method there is opportunity for human error, mistakes and moments when human frailty is easily shaken. Times when prestige and money - the love of which is the root of all evil - may be more desired than truth; when character is tested, and honesty and integrity will stand and fall to the pressures of position or to the love of money. So it is with men like Miller who are not true scientists but are agents for the drug industry.
The whole FTC case against us was built upon his false witness, and the false witness of the FTC who charge us with making claims we never made.
A man who stirs up dissension among brothers: "There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him. . .": It is so awful to exhibit just one of these, and to this point the FTC lawyers and judge, individually and collectively, have manifested and exhibited all six. The seventh detestable characteristic the Lord hates is a banner the FTC wave proudly. This is the most grievous, and it is the bed for all the other attributes of these people. As we wrestle "not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of this dark world", the purpose of the powers behind The Commission is to eliminate the truth of Jesus, Yahweh Elohim. With that the FTC come close to committing the only unpardonable sin, blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. The FTC lawyers, led by Len Gordon's haughty eyes, join their lying tongues, hold hands that shed innocent blood, meld hearts that devise wicked schemes, and quickly goose step as they rush into evil, carrying their false witness who poured out lies, and they stir up dissension among the people.
The innocent public, including our brothers and sisters in Christ who do not know us, may fall victim to the slander of the FTC, to the untruthful and unproven charge against Daniel Chapter One of "false and misleading practices". Seeds of doubt have been planted. Many will now consider our ministry with suspicion for no reason other than that the FTC has sued us. Who can know all the evil tricks behind their attack, all the facts to our case, how they twist the truth and call good evil? Gossip and slander are irreversibly destructive.
God hates these things.
