Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C.
Our journey to Washington, D.C. began with packing our whole family. As I put each article of clothing into the children's back packs and all of our needed essentials for the trip, I began to think about what our Health Freedom means to our family and how the outcome of the FTC vs. Daniel Chapter One trial not only affects our family, but all families across America.
We have been entrusted by God to train and teach our children about the truths of God. We must not allow the Federal Trade Commission's deceptive tactics to suppress the truth about God's miraculous power of healing through God-given nutrients. As I looked at the seven back packs that lined the couch my thoughts were consumed with the anticipation of what to expect when we reached D.C.
While driving to Jacksonville from our home in McAlpin, FL. I prayed for each family that had to make the journey to Washington. Many of us had to leave our children behind so that we could testify to the truth about Daniel Chapter One's ministry. All of these diverse people have been touched and ministered to by Jim & Tricia Feijo morning, noon, and night in so many ways, and our family is no exception. God has healed our family of so many health related issues over the years, some examples include: prolapsed uterus, prolapsed bladder, kidney reflux, gestational diabetes, postpartum depression, scoliosis of the spine, just to name a few. Praise and Glory be unto the Lord for His grace and mercy in our lives!!
When we stepped off the train in D.C., we were greeted by dark gray clouds. My face was downcast from the cold wind cutting across my body. As I looked at the gloomy city through the rain, I was overwhelmed by the magnificence of the huge towering buildings and detailed architecture that I saw through the window of the taxi on the way to our hotel. My spirit was lifted as we were welcomed by the familiar faces of our friends Jim and Tricia. One by one each witness arrived from all over the U.S. for the same common purpose of testifying of how God has healed and touched their lives through Daniel Chapter One.
On the first day of the trial we all gathered to pray outside of the FTC building. Jim prayed for God's will to be done and for the truth of Christ to be revealed to the FTC. When we stepped through the doors of the FTC building, we were greeted by an inordinate amount of security. Apparently, they were expecting a large group of hostile protesters. To their surprise, they met a peaceable group of people. After we were escorted to the court room we were then wanded again by another metal detector before we could enter. Talk about overkill!
Everyone was asked to rise to their feet and stand as the judge entered the court room. A significance because we were all there to make a stand for our health freedom. We stood united together but were shortly divided when the witnesses were asked to leave the court room. My husband and the other witnesses were escorted to a separate room, to wait while the first day of hearing commenced.
Later in the hearing, each individual witness was called in as they were to testify, but as each person began to testify they were silenced! The FTC wanted Daniel Chapter One's witnesses to answer yes or no to their questions. Yet, they took facts out of context trying to make their case against Daniel Chapter One. The judge ruled that Daniel Chapter One was indeed a ministry. At this point the FTC should not have been able to rule that they had jurisdiction over Daniel Chapter One. Judge Chappell never defined what his definition of a ministry was. I believe that he ruled this even before the hearing began, but did not notify Daniel Chapter One for two reasons. One, it would deplete Daniel Chapter One of capital for their fight against the FTC, causing them to use monies to fly the witnesses to testify,not knowing that they would not get to share their testimonies. And secondly, most of the witnesses that were called to testify would not be given their chance to be heard this way, since they were coming to testify primarily to the ministry aspect. The FTC did not want anyone saying much, because they feared that the truth would be brought to light! The more that was said the more it would hurt their case. In fact, when it seemed that the prosecuting attorneys were not asking the right questions the judge stepped in and took over. 
A LIGHTER MOMENT
The FTC judge and FTC attorneys were double standard in their questioning. It was transparent that they were on the same team. They asked questions that were irrelevant to the case at hand but when Daniel Chapter One's defense attorney Jim Turner asked questions he was objected to nearly every time for not sticking to questions that were relevant. It seemed like a kangaroo court!
As the trial continued day after day we were all attacked and mocked by the FTC attorneys. Every time Jim, Tricia, Jay, Dr. Mink, David, Ernie, and Robert tried to speak of the truth they were railroaded and silenced again and again! They have the right to be heard! Everyone was becoming frustrated! The enemy was taking his tole!
The very next day the FTC called their expert witness, Dennis Miller, who is an oncologist and hematologist for pediatrics. Mind you he hasn't practiced since 1996 and is not involved currently in any hands on care of patients. A lot has changed in the last 12 years in the medical field. He stated that the FDA must approve all medicines before they can be administered to the public. He also said, "80% of people take complementary medicine" and that, "patients always have choices. . .they can elect to have surgery or not. . .the patient is always in control" said Miller.
When it seemed hopeless to speak the truth while silenced, the Holy Spirit came! Jim Feijo was called to the stand and testified to the truth of Christ! No one, not even the judge stopped him. Jim said, "We could have taken a deal but to do so we would have had to deny Jesus. We had the deal! Better than the other companies that yielded to the FTC, but we will not deny Christ!" Jim spoke with a boldness that only comes from the Holy Spirit. He spoke of the freedom that we have in Christ and how we must obey what God has commanded us to do. We must believe the truth of Christ and not be deceived by the enemy. God says, "My people perish for lack of knowledge."
The FTC attorney asked Jim about Daniel Chapter One's corporate sole. The attorney focused in on the part where it says that Daniel Chapter One has the right to wage war. The attorney didn't understand, so Jim explained that we are in a spiritual battle and that we are to put on the whole armor of God. At one point, the FTC attorney said to Jim, "Are you saying that I'm evil?" Jim said, "God says that if you're not for Me, you're against Me."
On the last day of the trial Daniel Chapter One's expert witnesses, Dr. James Duke - famed botanist - and Dr. Sally LaMont - naturopathic physician - were called to give their expert opinion. It was obvious by their opinion that they had done a thorough job evaluating and researching each component in GDU, 7 Herb Formula, Bio*Mixx, and BioShark. They concluded that these products can help aid in the body's fight against cancer. Sally LaMont spoke about the structure/function of natural herbs and how they affect our body and even stated that there was brilliance in how the 7 herbs were put together to make up the 7 Herb Formula. At this point the FTC attorneys mockery had come to a halt. They had fizzled out like a hot air balloon. For once, they were the ones silenced. Silenced by the truth!
The word of God is the central part of the life of the people of God. Our success depends on our obedience to what God has called us to do. Jim & Tricia Feijo strive to live and lead by example, by living lives surrendered to God. They proclaim the truth of Christ to the world through the Daniel Chapter One ministry.
We as American people have the right to any information regarding our health so that we can make informed decisions. The FTC does not need to be given the power to make our decisions for us! We must be a catalyst in this revolution and stand and fight for our health freedom! You have the right to choose! Through Christ we have all been set free! Don't live in bondage. Live in the freedom that you have in Christ!
