The lie must be confronted and exposed... |
|
"My thoughts on the trial:
Since I am in regular contact with Jim and Trish, I was able to watch the case
from the beginning. From the onset it seemed that the FTC had no end of demands
and requests for materials, documents, answers to questions, some relevant,
many not.
The number of witnesses permitted was continually reduced until 10 were
permitted for the trial, then that number was reduced at the trial itself.
The lawyers for the FTC were permitted
as much time as they wanted, we were cut short, hardly fair.
Most of us present thought the purpose of the trial was to determine whether or
not Daniel Chapter One was a ministry or a business. Then to everyone's surprise,
the judge and the FTC lawyers agreed that it was indeed a ministry in their
opening remarks. Equally surprising was the judge granting authority over the
ministry of Daniel Chapter One to the FTC at the end of the trial.
Truly it seemed the judge and the FTC lawyers agreed to this before the trial.
Even so, it is my opinion that this is the decision God wanted so that things
could continue and He would receive greater praise and glory and so that more
testimonies could be shared later. The lie must be confronted and exposed, now
seems to be the time for this to happen.
It is time for those who call themselves by the Name of the Lord to stop
tolerating evil and begin speaking out with the boldness of the Spirit of the
Lord wh ich He has given us.
On the brighter side, even though the number of witnesses was reduced and the
time given them to testify was short, most of us had a pleasant time sharing
our faith with the guards watching us; they were able to hear quite a lot."
Sincerely,
David Bertrand
