Flowers of the Season
Beautiful Poinsettias in Stock
Poinsettias (Euphorbia pulcherrima) were brought to the U.S. in 1825 by Joel Roberts Poinsett, the first U.S ambassador to Mexico, where poinsettias grow natively. They have become the favorite flower to give and receive during the holidays. Poinsettias prefer bright light and to be protected from drafts. Allow the soil to dry to the touch between waterings and, if it is wrapped in foil, make sure it does not stand in water. Many unusual varietes have been developed, including the stunning one pictured here called 'Jingle Bells.' Stop in and browse our extensive selection this month! |
