It's the Economy!

Fall is usually the time that many of us settle into our routines after the summer hiatus.  But not this year.

We are experiencing an unprecedented financial crisis coupled with a national presidential election in less than 30 days.  There is no frame of reference for where we are in American life and as business women.  What can we do to weather the volatility and uncertainty in which we find ourselves?

NAWBO is here to help.  First and foremost, NAWBO is a sisterhood of women business owners and women in business.  It's times like these that we should remember to draw on the power of our network of over 9,000 members and 80 Chapters.

Here are just a few tips to help you maintain and even grow your business in these challenging economic times:
  1. Network at NAWBO programs and events
  2. Become active in the Chapter through leadership or volnteering to build your contacts and increase your business exposure
  3. Use NAWBO members as resources, support and information.  Reach out to your Chapter members to share ideas and build strategic alliances
  4. If you are currently not listed on our free business resources page on our Website, contact us and we will add your business.
  5. Think NAWBO first. Buy from and sell to NAWBO members and refer NAWBO members whenever you can.

Holiday Cards
Get Personal With Clients & Colleagues
pen
It is that time of the year again when we should begin to think about getting our card list in shape for the upcoming holiday season.  To some people, holiday cards can be a daunting task during this time of the year.  But holiday cards afford us the opportunity to truly show our holiday spirit and express gratitude to our clients and colleagues.  Not only should you personally sign each card, but also consider writing a personal note.
