As the summer holidays draw to a close the thoughts of many households around the country will turn to September and the joy/despair of the start of a new school year (depending on whose angle you're looking at it from!!)

Back to school is always an extremely busy time in supermarkets around the country as parents work through the checklist of things needed to ensure that their little angels are fully prepared for the year ahead.

It is also a crucial time for brands who want to get their product into little Johnny's breakfast bowl/ lunchbox. We all know how fussy kids can be so if they get something they like at the start of the school year chances are they'll stick with that for the entire year, or at least until they've outgrown another pair of shoes!

LATEST IN-STORE CAMPAIGNS
Nestle Cereals - POPAd
Nestle Cereals POPAd
Nestle Cereals ran a, nationwide, heavyweight campaign across our Dunne's Stores and Tesco sites in July. Nestle again used the POPAd to great effect by informing shoppers of the percentage of whole grain in each box of cereal, across a number of their products. 
Denny - POPAd
Denny POPAd
Denny ran a POPAd campaign in July to promote their special offers on Denny, deli style, crumbed ham. The pack shot and price on the artwork ensured a strong and clear communication to the shopper. The campaign ran on our Tesco sites in both the Republic and Northern Ireland and was coupled with a floor graphic campaign.
Galtee - POPAd
Galtee POPAdGaltee continued their June activity, again using the POPAd in July as part of their "Celebrate the Rasher" campaign. The campaign ran across all our retail partners.
 
7up - POPAd
7up POPAd
7up ran a nationwide POPAd campaign in July to promote 7up Free. Viewers of the ad were prompted to visit 7upfree.ie to find out more about the BBQ session and to share more summer ideas.
 
Denny - FloorAd
Denny Floor GraphicAs mentioned earlier, Denny combined their POPAd campaign with a nationwide FloorAd campaign across our Tesco sites. A FloorAd was placed in front of the product on display highlighting the special offer on deli style ham.
 
Dublin Bus - C-Store Screen
Dublin Bus C-Store ScreenDublin Bus used our new digital C-Store screen format as part of their innovative and very succesful "Cheat on your car once a week" campaign. The campaign offered shoppers the chance to avail of a special offer of unlimited bus travel by simply showing their car keys at any participating Dublin Bus Ticket Agent. The C- Store screen format helped Dublin Bus reach over 1 million shoppers per cycle across our network of stores.

The Star also ran a campaign on our C-Store screens in July, targeting the convenience shopper directly at the point of purchase. With up to 50% of all purchases in convenience stores being impulse purchases our new digital format offers brands an unrivalled opportunity to target shoppers across our network of 48 stores.
 
LATEST IN-BAR CAMPAIGNS
HSE - Washroom
HSE Washroom
The HSE ran a heavyweight, nationwide, washroom campaign which informed pub-goers of the dangers of legal and illegal highs. The clever creative executions helped to spell out some of the effects caused by legal or illegal highs and prompted anyone concerned to visit drugs.ie or call the HSE Drugs Helpline.
 
Carlsberg Comedy Carnival - Washroom
Carlsberg Comedy Carnival Washroom
Carlsberg continue to use our talking washroom frames to promote the Carlsberg Comedy Carnival. Our talking washroom frames allow brands the chance to take patrons by surprise and create a talking among pub-goers on a night out.
 
Becks - Washroom
Becks Washroom
 For the second month in a row, Becks ran a targeted washroom campaign to promote their beer in some of our Dublin, Cork and Limerick venues. This was part of a larger campaign undertaken by Becks highlighting the fact that Becks consists of only 4 ingredients.
Cystopurin - Washroom
Cystopurin WashroomBayer Healthcare ran a nationwide washroom campaign to promote their Cystopurin product in our female washroom sites.Washroom posters are an ideal location to advertise products and services which may be of a sensitive nature.
 
Smirnoff - Washroom
Smirnoff WashroomSmirnoff ran a targeted washroom campaign in some of our bars in Dublin, Limerick and Kilkenny as part of their launch activity for the new Smirnoff flavours range. The artwork for both the lime and green apple flavours gave suggested mixers for the new flavour drinks.
 
Lynx - Washroom
Lynx WashroomLynx ran a nationwide washroom campaign in our male washrooms, advertising new Lynx Rise. The strong creative, tailored specifically for washroom sites, was sure to catch the eye of male pub-goers.
