Happy New Year! I hope your holiday was spent with loved ones and full of joy and blessing. Now is the time to look forward to 2008. That sounds so strange to me. I remember 1968!

Last night I did a great exercise with family and friends. It's called Creating 2008. I am "borrowing" it from Business Coach John Affleck. It's a fun way to think about the upcoming year; even kids can participate. Here are the questions:

  • What would you like to be your biggest triumph?
  • What advice would you like to give yourself?
  • What is the major effort you are planning to improve your financial results?
  • What would you be most happy about completing?
  • What major indulgence are you willing to experience?
  • What are you looking forward to learning?
  • What would you like to change about yourself this year?
  • What do you think your biggest risk will be?
  • What about your work are you most committed to changing or improving?
  • What is one, as yet undeveloped, talent you are willing to explore?
  • What brings you the most joy and how are you going to do or have more of that?
  • Who or what, other than yourself, are you most committed to loving and serving?
  • What one word would you like to have as your theme in 2008?

You may find that a theme will develop to show you an area of your life that needs work. Or maybe you will discover a dream you never knew you had. Don't limit your answers either. I had three answers for what I would be most happy about completing and none of them had to do with business; they were all personal. And make the major indulgence really big!

So sit down with your loved ones and have fun with this exercise. Now is the time to create the 2008 you really want.

January 10 - "Global Culture of Women" - with CC Pelmas and Carole St. Germaine.
Each of us has a story

From the four corners of the earth and the four seasons of women's lives, the Global Culture of Women is weaving a tapestry across the globe - gathering women's stories, celebrating women's wisdom, birthing a new human legacy in which all life is sacred. The "Story Spiral" is a unique format designed to share the universal story of women while honoring our individual female voices. Within the Story Spiral we read excerpts of women's stories gathered from around the world. The practice is simple; no drama, no "processing". This is a celebration. We come together with the understanding that not a single one of us needs fixing. We come together to honor the heroine's journey we all share. Within our stories is our primal language, our first language, a language that contains forgotten wisdom essential to the full health of all life on the planet. No previous experience necessary...all that's required is your female heart.

CC Pelmas has been a counselor for the last fifteen years. For the past decade she has focused exclusively on women's voice and power, guided by the knowledge that the global resurrection of our authentic female voice and wisdom will transform humanity and heal the planet. She is a co- founder of the Global Culture of Women.

Carole St. Germaine, MA in Cross-Cultural Communication, is creative partner in the Global Culture of Women project. She has documented women's mid-life stories and is the author of the book "Soul Song". She works internationally.

January 24 - "Understanding the New Children" - with Jennifer Crews.
 Authentic individuals

The children today are blessed with amazing gifts and new perspectives of the world - intuition, telekinetic abilities, energy awareness and more. Discover the truth behind all the labels our physical world uses to define the children. Know them instead as authentic individuals. Learn and recognize the multidimensional and intuitive aspect of having worked with these children for over 13 years. Support each other as professionals and parents in understanding the variety of beautiful gifts these children are meant to teach us.

Jennifer Crews, MA. Child Intuitive, Intuitive Artist, Visionary Teacher. Jennifer began her work in the care-giving profession as a nationally certified Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist. She has 13 years experience working with children and their families all over the globe. She realized she literally could hear and see what the children wanted to share, communicate, and express through her own language - her intuition. She decided to honor her gifts and founded Intuitive Teachings, LLC to assist parents, professionals, and individuals worldwide to understand themselves as well as the true essence of the new children. She has devoted her life to teaching others - Know Your Intuition, Know Yourself, Know Your Child.
