Goal #3: Add value to every church...

Whether you are part of a church plant or an established church, CPW aims to support and strengthen you spiritually and materially. One of the ways we aim to do this is through training -- training that is not readily available through other means! Ministry Training

Two trainings are scheduled:

Sharpening Your Ministry Ax, May 11 in Dublin, with Don Sunukjian will provide practical training on how to present God's truth with precision and power. This training is directed toward Bible teachers and preachers.
Making Disciples, November 2 in San Jose, with Francis Chan and three church discipleship practitioners is designed to inspire and instruct key leaders from each church in making disciples to fulfill the Great Commission. This training is targeting church leaders who are actively shaping the discipleship process in your church.

We are convinced the church is the primary delivery system for the gospel, and it is the only hope for a dying world, so our mission is to delight God by starting and strengthening churches. Thanks for your partnership in the mission.

On Friday, May 4th, in the Duboce Triangle of San Francisco, First Christian Church sponsored a Rootbeer Tasting outreach/fundraiser to help support Pastor Gordon and Leanne Wohlers. Praise God for the way the Wohlers are shining the Light of the World in their neighborhood!

By His grace God used both the teaching of the Word and the lives of Pastor for Discipleship Dave and Josie Clark of Living Hope Neighborhood Church in Richmond to encourage believers in Kigali (Rwanda's capital city) and the surrounding area. God also gave them meaningful relationships with their brothers and sisters in Rwanda,who they hope to continue to correspond with and Lord willing spend time with again.

CPW 3D is your opportunity to make an impact here, near and far away! We are seeking 800 Local Partners who will donate $25 in 2012 to start and strengthen churches locally and internationally. The $20,000 raised will be divided between five geographic regions to train, mobilize, and support national church planters and church planting projects. Give online today!

Pastor Chris Coli successfully completed his Ordination Council (see picture at top of page) and was ordained by CrossWinds Church last month. In addition, Chris is transitioning into the Lead Pastor role as Pastor John Merritt assumes the title of Founding Pastor. God is marvelously leading in this significant advancement with the support of church leaders and the congregation. Praise God for His awesome work!!

Join us for CPW Prayer Day Today, May 8th

   Mother's Day, May 13, is one of the best days for church attendance. May God bless every gospel teaching church as they encourage families to honor their mothers and to glorify God.
   The Sharpening Your Ministry Ax training scheduled for May 11 has over 100 participants signed up. We ask that God will equip us to clearly declare the gospel and biblical truth!
   Several churches are looking to fill key ministry roles (see below).
   CPW still is looking to lease office space in their building.
   Paul Root, Church Planting Director, begins his well-deserved 3-month sabbatical on May 15.
   A few churches are struggling to maintain their spiritual focus and momentum as they go through the Spring. Ask God to give direction, help and hope to all who are discouraged or need spiritual wisdom.
