Partnering for Kingdom Impact 

   Partnering is absolutely essential in some endeavors!

   Banding together and pressing ahead are crucial to ministry... and to executing a successful rugby scrum (not that I know much about rugby)! Neither are possible without fearless, like-minded partners. 

  Thanks to YOUR partnership, CPW was able to make progress in every one of our goals for 2011-12. Though we did not achieve all of our objectives, we did make progress in starting and strengthening churches.

   As we launch into 2012-13 (our fiscal year runs from April-March), we have these Kingdom Impact Goals:

1. Start five churches regionally

2. Strengthen five churches regionally through intentional plans

3. Add value to every one of our churches by...

         Upgrading our system for starting churches

         Strengthening and expanding LEAD Teams

         Piloting peer coaching in one LEAD Team

         Increasing participation/effectiveness of CPW Ministry Training

         Launching Converge Internship Academy for youth ministry  

4. Challenge churches to support Converge at a 1+1+1 level (1% of church budget to each: CPW Core, CPW Church Planting, and Converge Worldwide)

5. Consistently collect, communicate and celebrate stories of our partner churches' engagements in starting and strengthening churches here, near and far away.

   God is wonderfully at work in our partnerships -- people are coming to Christ weekly, believers are being mobilized to minister, the gospel is effectively being preached and lived out in cities, suburbs, farming  and beach communities, and in the hill country... near and far!

Pastor for Discipleship Dave and Josie Clark of Living Hope Neighborhood Church in Richmond will be part of a team of leaders staffing the Hallomai Mission Team to Rwanda, leaving April 13. Please be praying that they will have strong team relationships and unity as they serve, and that unity and reconciliation will be built among Rwandans of every walk of life.

 

Crosspoint Community Church of Santa Maria had a sweet but sad final service on Sunday, March 25. Great testimonies, many wonderful memories, uplifting worship, a message of gratitude, and three baptisms were some of the highlights. Bethel Church of Santa Rosa welcomes Pastor of Family Ministries Mike (and Zoë) Baker (picture to the right) to their staff.   

Berean Bible Fellowship in Atascadero recently licensed and hired Youth Pastor Jake (and Haley) Liddicoat to their staff (not pictured). Feel free to send Tim, Mike, and Jake a welcome email letting them know we're happy to have them join the CPW family.

Faith Community Christian Church East Bay (formerly Fil-Am Community Christian Church of Fremont) celebrated their 23rd anniversary on March 25.  

Pastor Kelly Patchin of New Harbor Community Church in Benicia recently led a conference for church leaders in Uganda. One of the training events in Malawi (pictured) involved local bishops who were then going to train the pastors -- up to 100 -- under their care. Praise God for an effective ministry trip!
