  • Sign-up 1,865 more Local Partners

  • Report monthly on how God is opening doors in various locations

 CPW 3D Defined

In Acts 1:8 Jesus called His followers to make a gospel impact in three dimensions (i.e. 3D): here, near, and far away. Converge PacWest is looking to go 3D, starting and strengthening churches on five continents.

We are seeking 2000 Local Partners who will donate $25 in 2011 to start and strengthen churches in Haiti, Uganda, India, Argentina, the Nordic-Baltic area, and in our own region. The $50,000 raised will be used to train, mobilize, and support national church planters and plants.

Local Partners receive monthly email updates (like this!) tracking the progress of the work and future possibilities.

An email from young Pastor Jakob Remmel from 3D Church in Estonia (also check out their 3-minute

Hello David!

Hopefully you are doing alright. We just had next baptism, where 6 people got baptized (there were 4 more, but they were under 18 and their parents were against, so we decided to wait with them). We also had 83 people at our service, so the attendance is growing as well. Next 3 weeks are going to be really exciting (Easter, Restarter - Estonian biggest youth/young adult christian event and Mother's Day). This is really shortly, how we are doing right now.
Me and Mart (from 3D church), we are really looking forward to meeting you! ... We will arrive really late 23:48 to Fresno on 10th May and will leave 14th afternoon...
Jakob

We look forward to having Jakob and Mart with us at our Biennial Meeting in Clovis!

And now an email excerpt from Mike Flinchum, Converge Worldwide International Missions Leader:

For a period of about two years I have been in contact with Paul Root (director of church planting for Converge PacWest) regarding our church planting efforts in Argentina.  I have very much appreciated that the PacWest region has taken an interest in international ministry opportunities, and has encouraged Paul to assist our missionary team in Argentina.

Church planting and leadership training remain our ministry priorities in Argentina.  But for some time I have felt our vision could be enlarged and our practices improved.  The beginning of a cooperative relationship with the PacWest community began in October of 2009, when all our missionaries attended a church planter's conference in San Jose, California (led by Paul Root and Gary Rohrmayer).  Following that training, we put in place a system of coaching, with Paul Root and Chris Swanson providing the coaching for our missionaries.  The next step was to plan a conference in Northwest Argentina to further implement the vision.  Through the conference, we wanted our missionaries and key pastors and church planters to

Paul and Chris Coaching in Argentina

embrace a

movement of church planting using the systems that have been beneficial in the PacWest movement, especially in reaching out to Hispanics.    Paul Root and Chris Swanson spent extended time with our missionaries on site, then concluded their visit with a weekend conference where our missionaries and key leaders could interact with the PacWest systems for church planting.  The retreat was attended by just over 30 people.

I am very grateful for the tireless efforts of Paul and Chris during their visit to Northwest Argentina.  We expect to see our missionaries continue to deepen their coaching relationships with Paul and Chris, and in turn to begin to provide coaching to local Argentine church planters in the region.

God is at work... here, near, and far away!!

Greetings!

What a joy it is when we hear from our International Partners in CPW 3D!

I'd encourage you to attend our Biennial Meeting next week (May 13-14) in Clovis to hear from our Estonian partner, Pastor Jakob Remmel, in person!!

Also, I'd encourage you to pray for all of our partners -- here, near, and far away --  who may be targets of retaliation due the recent killing of Osama bin Laden.

Thanks for your partnership!

For His glory,
David Yetter
