Newport Marriott to Host Fall Fest '11!

 NEFA is putting together a strong slate of speakers including Dane Gay of Puritan Cleaners in Virginia. Mr Gay will demonstrate the power of Social Media Marketing. He will share his proven methods for establishing a program, evaluating the success, and making sure you get the return on investment you need!

What Can You Do with Unclaimed Inventory?
 
This question was posed by one NEFA Member this week.  Each state has very different rules about what can be done with garments left behind by customers -- and when you can dispose of them.  NEFA has a poster developed for each state.  The front of the poster has a synopsis of each state's rule, and the actual regulatory language is written out on the back.

 

Many members have donated the garments to different charities in the past.  NEFA encourages cleaners to fully read the parameters spelled out on the back of the posters before disposing of the garments.  Some states have very specific protocols that need to be followed.

Mark your calendars now for Fall Fest '11 -- November 11, 12 & 13 in Newport, RI.  We are just finalizing the contract with the Newport Marriott and will begin marketing next week!  This will be the best conference yet -- and for those of you who went to the first four -- that means a lot!  This is a perfect opportunity for owners, managers and key personnel to learn what is happening in the industry and to be better prepared for the future.  Conferences like this are the perfect way to help motivate and reward employees.
