FTC Seeking Public Input on Care Label Review!

care label

The Federal Trade Commission is undergoing a systematic review of all current FTC Rules including the Care Label Rules.  Specifically the FTC is seeking comments on the overall costs, benefits,  and necessity of the Rule on Care Labeling.  Some of the specific concerns are the inclusion of professional wetcleaning, the use of care symbols, and how the new alternative solvents work within the system.  There is some concern over the definition of "drycleaning" and how the new technologies fit into the system.

DLI is currently working on an in-depth review of the proposals, and will be providing industry comments.  All members are invited to add their own comments and make their voice known.  DLI/NEFA Members will be receiving a DLI Hotpress within the next couple weeks with talking points and suggested discussion comments.

Association Endorsed Programs Save You Money!

I recently got a free quote from Larry Beland of Chase Payment Tech (978-798-0386).  He showed me how I could save almost $3500 per year!  That is an amazing savings that I wouldn't have found if it weren't for NEFA.
Call or e-mail Peter Blake at the NEFA Office today to get a free rate quote.  Don't delay, you could be wasting more money they you realize.
