Linda Macktaby
Linda Macktaby

The Peacemaking Committee is happy to announce this year's International Peacemaking Speaker for PET will be Linda Macktaby, representing Lebanon and Syria. Each year, around the time of World Communion Sunday (Oct. 7 this year), PC(USA) provides speakers from around the world.

Linda Macktaby earned her M.Div. degree from the Near East School of Theology and works as youth program coordinator for the Forum for Development, Culture & Dialogue. As time allows, she also preaches at the Evangelical Church in Kfarshima, Lebanon. Linda will speak to the Christian presence in the Middle East and the role of youth in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Her schedule is not yet specific, but Linda will be available to PET churches sometime around Friday, Oct. 5 to Oct. 12. If your church would like to have Linda speak, please email Donna Schall ([email protected]), including a first and second date/time choice. When confirmed, we'll provide her visit and speaking schedule, so that people can hear her at nearby churches.
