Ultreya in Chattanooga

July 30 at Rivermont Presbyterian Church

Butterfly graphicThe Cursillo group from Rivermont Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga would like to invite you and members of your congregation to attend an Ultreya on Saturday, July 30th. It will be held in the Commons area at Rivermont from noon until 2:30 or 3:00 PM. We especially encourage any of your members who have attended a Cursillo or Walk to Emmaus, or others interested in obtaining more information about Tennesee Valley Presbyterian Cursillo, to join us. If you are not familiar with an Ultreya, it is a gathering of former pilgrims from a Walk to Emmaus or a Cursillo and their guests. There will be food, singing, worship, and lots of fellowship. A light lunch will be served at noon by the host group at no charge. (A free will offering will be accepted if you desire to contribute to the cost of the food.)

New Form of Government Seminar
Presbyterian Outlook Webinar at 2:00pm on August 2

The Presbyterian Outlook is sponsoring an informative seminar on the New Form of Government, Tuesday, August 2, at 2:00pm.

You can watch the webinar at your own computer OR you can watch with your colleagues in the Presbytery of East Tennessee, in the presbytery's videoconference center. If you choose to join us in the videoconference center (in the basement of the presbytery office), the cost will be $5 each.

Or, if you want to watch alone, just $29.95 will help you sort through all the changes brought about by the adoption of the new Form of Government section of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)'s Book of Order.

This live Webinar will help you...
  • sort between rumors and facts about the nFOG
  • address the legal and polity requirements that have changed
  • put into action the purposes of the nFOG: to encourage more missional ministry in your local church and to simplify much of the former red tape of management
About Dan Williams:
  • Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church, Staunton, where he has served since 1995.
  • Served as Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Huntingdon, in W. Va.
  • Served as co-moderator of the nFOG committee
Click HERE to register to watch at the presbytery office for only $5.
