Columbia Bank Named 2009 Spirit of Pierce County Winner
Generous. Enthusiastic. Community-minded. Passionate. Committed.  These are all words that describe Columbia Bank. From their record-breaking campaign to their active employees, this organization generously gives back to the community. In 2009, the participated in LIVE UNITED day and Leadership Day of Caring, had employees on multiple local boards, sponsored a Loaned Executive, conducted drives for food and items for homeless teens and held auctions to raise money for the community.

During their campaign, they took on the added challenge of new branches throughout the Pacific Northwest. Members of Columbia Bank's management attended many of the presentations and coordinator Mike Nelson made sure every branch was reached. Their efforts paid off as Columbia Bank rallied to increase their campaign
by 33%.

Columbia bank goes beyond GIVING generously to many causes, they ADVOCATE as agency board members and they VOLUNTEER to make a difference. Columbia Bank LIVES UNITED and that is why they are the 2009 Spirit of Pierce County award winner.
Congratulations Columbia Bank.
