Give $10, Tell 10 Friends
Unprecedented needs call for an unprecedented response.

Give $10 to United Way of Pierce County and ask 10 of your friends to do the same. Its a small way to make a big difference right here and now.
  • $10 can help a family prevent having their heat shut off
  • $10 from 10 people can fill the refrigerator for a family in a transitional home
  • $10 from 20 people can provide shelter for a family of four
With just $10 and 10 friends, you can help our most vulnerable neighbors.

Basic Needs Hard to Come By
A safe home. A warm bed. A hot meal. They are all things many of us take for granted, until we don't have them. The current economic downturn is forcing more people to seek shelter and food from human service agencies. The conditions are also affecting donations, making it harder for those agencies to meet the increased need. As the holiday approaches, we invite you to lend a hand.

Food banks throughout Pierce County have seen their numbers double and triple. Organizations like Tacoma Rescue Mission are expecting 800 to 1000 people for Thanksgiving dinner. On any given night, there are more than 1,500 people on the streets, many of them are families.

LIVE UNITED is about reaching out a hand to one and influencing the condition of all.  This season we invite you to help others to have the basic items we are so grateful for. Pick up an extra turkey to donate to an agency hosting Thanksgiving or donate canned goods to your local food bank. That's what it means to LIVE UNITED.
