United Way of Pierce County Earns Highest Rating for Fourth Year
In December 2008, United Way of Pierce County received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, an independent national service that evaluates most of America's largest charities. For sound fiscal management, United Way of Pierce County received this rating for the fourth consecutive year. Only 6% of charities have received four consecutive 4-star ratings and only five United Ways nationwide. UWPC is the highest rated United Way of our size.

Some businesses say their volunteer programs are becoming stronger and more creative, invigorated by employees touched by the growing need in the community.
