Conducting a triple action campaign is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- A week before your event, send out an email with a compelling hook. Provide your students with a brief bio on your professional speaker (or provide a link), reveal the topic and the specifics such as time and place. Most importantly, tell them what they'll get out of attending.
- Three days before your event, send another email including all of the necessary details again and assurance it's not too late to attend.
- The day before your event, send out a final email to bring your event to the forefront of everyone's mind. Save them the hassle of sifting through their inbox searching for the time or room number.
An added benefit of this targeted email campaign is the power of forwarding. Your students can help spread the word to other interested parties. You only have to suggest they forward the email so someone who might be interested in the topic.
Be sure to keep an eye on your inbox and be prepared to answer any questions. Email is an efficient way to communicate details when you're trying to pack a hall to hear your campus speaker. * Special Thanks (again) to Dave Kelly, America's Student Leadership Trainer (sm) |
