I am worried about Chi Chi, who has a weird lump under her arm that has started to ooze and bleed. She will see Dr. Schirmer this morning at 8:30. Chi Chi is elderly -- late 40s or early 50s -- so you can imagine how very concerned we are. Keep Chi Chi in your thoughts and hold her in your heart. We want her to have many more happy years with her monkey friends! Please donate to our Memorial Medical Fund in Chi Chi's name.
In other news, we are excited to release Almost Wild, our new mini-documentary (or "documonkey," as we like to call it), shot in high-definition and created by our good friend Gene Blalock. The official premiere will be August 6 at theAnimal Rights Conference in Washington DC, but of course we want our supporters to have a sneak preview!
Our Summer Monkey Buddy campaign has really heated up, thanks to the generosity of so many of our supporters. Please keep it up so we can double your money for the monkeys! If you are already a Buddy, share your photo on our Facebook Page!
P.S. Watch our new video "Is Love in the Air?" to see what happened during KC and Bongo's first meeting.

Jungle Friends is ... Almost Wild
Whether they came from entertainment, research, or were someone's pet, almost every captive monkey you see was stolen from his or her family.
Life in captivity can never match life in the wild, but we provide monkeys a safe, forever home that is as natural as possible. It's Almost Wild, and it's the best humans can do.
