Not breaking with tradition, the American Tackle Company showed its support for the fly fishing industry in Reno, Nevada by participating in the 2012 IFTD industry show. Year after year this show has been AT's best way to connect with rod builders, dealers and rod manufacturers involved with fly fishing. Despite a reported down turn in dealer attendance, AT was not disappointed this year, due to new business won and projects renewed. Quality over quantity is always an American Tackle focus.
This year's event saw a full staff consisting of Joe Meehan, Ben Stein & Darrin Heim manning the booth.
A particular point of interest was the large array of American Tackle Window Seats. It's always many rod builders' favorite stop in the booth.
Matrix blanks were prominently displayed along with rods assembled entirely of AT components. These rods were available for casting demos in 4wt., 5wt. & 8wt. models. Many casters remarked that they perform as well or better than many of the rods present at the show.
Also present were American Tackle's snake guides & tops as well as the favored Ring Lock guides. Whether constructed of solid titanium or stainless steel, Ring Lock guides are perfect stripping guides for every premium fly rod. Many rods at the show featured Ring Lock guides:
