MicroWave Guide System Addresses

"Line Control"

The Bass Professor Doug Hannon, the brain behind WaveSpin Reels, the weedless trolling motor prop and the new MicroWave Guide System for spinning rods

The American Tackle Company has been working closely with inventor Doug Hannon also known as "The Bass Professor" to perfect a rod guide system that harnesses energy to direct and control line during a cast. "I've wanted to perfect the dynamics of a cast and 'stop' the line's wide helical - corkscrew

The recently patented MicroWave Guide will be a part of a new system for spinning rods

spiraling - and eliminate the distance robbing line slap as it goes through the first, second and successive guides" says Hannon, inventor of WaveSpin reels. He continues, "I knew we could improve performance for longer more accurate casts and that's exactly what we did".

The MicroWave guide, first introduced on Microwave Spinning rods offered by the prestigious Castaway Graphite Rod Company has now evolved into a complete system. Using a smaller patented design stripper guide to capture and control the line off the reel into the transition guide and on through the running guides offering advantages that no other guide train can. Unique and innovative, this complete system will be introduced in July at the ICAST 2012 trade show in Orlando FL.
