American Tackle Company featured in Tackle Trade World Magazine

Tackle Trade World Magazine has featured an article in March discussing the rise of American Tackle Company. This article features a brief history of the
Hunter McKamey
company and how
we will continue to expand and excel at meeting our customers needs. The article states, "This is an ambitious, hungry and driven firm with standards focused on high-end products and service." We at American Tackle believe this to be true and strive to supply our customers with state-of-the-art components and top of line customer service.

These facts have allowed American Tackle to become a leader in the industry and continue to motivate us on our path to the future in rod components.  Click on Images to read article.

Meet American Tackle Pro Staff Member
Richard Bowers

At the age of 17, Richard bought Dale Clemons book on Fiberglass rod building.  This book sparked a passion in Richard that is now in its 43rd year.  He has created hundreds of rods in that time, some of which have been featured prizes for childrens fishing derbies.  He has also been building for several other events in the past 7 years.  Another passion of Richards is teaching the craft to others while only using tools found in an every day home.  For example, he has taught how to use two phone books for thread tension.  He calls it "seat of your pants rod building."

Richard is an avid trout angler.  He practises and teaches catch and release and wishes he could fish everyday.  He would, if he could, but with full time employment and family obligations, rod building and fishing must find a place in line.
