Forum on Ethical and Effective Lobbying: Former Members' Perspectives
Join us for an engaging discussion with three former Members of Congress as they share their views on ethical and effective best practices in lobbying. The panel will be moderated by current ALL board member and former congressman Hon. James Walsh. The event will take place on January 25th from 12 PM - 2 PM at K & L Gates, located at 1601 K Street, NW.
About the Panelists Chairman Michael Oxley formerly represented Ohio's 4th District and served as Chair of the House Financial Services Committee. He is currently part of Baker Hostetler's Government Policy Group. Baker Hostetler represents multinational and corporate clients seeking to resolve or avert problems related to federal or state policy through legislative or administrative solutions.
Hon. Bruce Morrison, formerly represented Connecticut's 3rd District, served on the House Banking (renamed as the current Financial Services) and Judiciary Committees. He is currently the principal of the Morrison Public Affairs Group, a Bethesda based lobbying firm that specializes in financial services, housing finance, and immigration policy.
Hon. Phillip English, formerly represented Pennsylvania's 3rd District, served on the House Ways and Means Committee - he was the first freshman Republican to be appointed to the committee since 1975. He is currently a senior government relations advisor at Arent Fox and serves as co-chair of the firm's Government Relations practice. His expertise lies in trade, health care, tax, and energy policy. |
