WP Puppet Theatre

'Six degrees of separation'

We need you

We are excited to have been selected as an artsVest* Calgary organization!

*Through a partnership with Calgary Arts Development, Business for the Arts, and Canadian Heritage, artsVest is a matching fund program with the goal to stimulate business sponsorship and corporate engagement in arts and culture

This means that every sponsorship dollar that WP Puppet Theatre Society attains will be matched, as defined by our pre-approved level of participation in the program.

A successful sponsorship is a great partnership. We are looking to form mutually rewarding relationships with small, medium, and large companies.

We want to show them that puppetry is so much more than children's entertainment.

It has the power to improve the lives of individuals and to help build respectful communities.  It provides creative avenues of expression for people that allow for personal development and meaningful social interaction- significant ingredients to healthy and vital communities.

Puppets also play a broad role in contemporary society, providing a creative platform to express controversial and significant social issues.

We can leverage our puppet power to support sponsors in community building, and employee engagement and development.

You can help.

It's the 'six degrees of separation' concept.

We know you, and you know others, and they know others...

We just

need introductions!

You could help us talk to your uncle who runs a corner store, your friend with a bike shop, your husband's CEO. Together we'll create a short proposal that will engage their imagination and show how WP Puppet Theatre can help them meet their community citizenship mandate.

Please contact Wendy Passmore-Godfrey to help out.

We are thrilled to welcome to Scott T. Sauer as WP Puppet Theatre's part time administrator. He ran a very successful theatre company in Hong Kong for a number of years and also brings wonderful skills as a director and actor.

And thank you so much to Tanis, Andrea, Caelin and Jordynn for their help in July to re-stock the Puppets on the Go Crates!
