Trapped and Terrified:
Harold's Story

Early Friday morning, an older gentleman pulled into the Animal Rescue, Inc. parking lot. He knocked on the door and told an office staff member that there was a cat in the back of his car with his foot caught in a trap. He had seen the cat wandering his property, limping and dragging a foot trap on his front leg, and knew he needed
medical attention.

Special Thanks
to the Junior Choir!

Even though there was only one child rep for the Stewartstown United Methodist Church Junior Choir, we know many gave time to collect donations for the Rescue! Thank you for thinking of us and bringing a boatload of goodies for the dogs and cats!
Cookies for Canines

We'd like to thank the local girl scout troop for baking doggy-friendly treats for the pups here at ARI. They loved the biscuits, especially Roxanne! Thank you for thinking of her and the other dogs at the Rescue!
BID TO HELP ANIMALS!
Our online auction starts May 5th!

Animal Rescue, Inc. has teamed up with Bidding for Good to host its first online auction! We're excited to be putting some great items up for bidding, like trips to Antigua and Cancun, real gem jewelry, guitars signed by famous musicians like Tom Petty and Mick Jagger, boutique pet clothing and supplies, restaurant gift certificates and more.  The auction will run May 5th through the 27th. Go here to preview the items. More items will be added through out the auction period.
One Hour Can Change a Life

Do you have a free hour or two? We need a volunteer to help care for the ARI cats awaiting their forever homes at The Cat Den at The Pet Shoppe in Shrewsbury, Pa. Duties include cleaning, changing linens, refreshing food and water, playing and brushing the cats and more! This feline group would love to see you! For more information, e-mail Ashley here or call her at (717) 993-3232x223.
Young Hearts Helping Pets

We'd like to thank the first-grade
The kids got a visit from Phil, one of our directors, and Jake, the 3-legged German Shorthaired Pointer!
students at St. John the Baptist School for their generous fundraiser for Animal Rescue, Inc. The children created doggy banks out of water bottles and raised more than $100 for ARI. It goes to show how anyone can make
a difference
for animals.
