Look at what some of our recent customers had to say about their experience with Preferred:

"We are enjoying the yard very much.  We've been outside almost every day, and certainly more times this past month than in the last 22 years we have lived here.  Thank you for your vision, patience, flexibility and good humor through the entire project" ~ Laurie W

"Each year we continue to be impressed with your company and employees.  Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and personable.  As a result your firm will landscape the remainder of our property as soon as our finances permit.  Our only regret is not having chosen you for our first project.  Please add fences to your repertoire.  We dread looking for another.  You do everything else..."        ~Vicky H
Will we get another freeze?

The average date of the last spring freeze is important in determining when to plant your spring annuals or to start on your vegetable garden.  If you start planting prior to the last freeze date, a frost will either severely damage their leaves or slow their growth for weeks.  But if you wait too long past the last freeze to get started, your plants may not have much of a growing season before the heat of the summer.  Most likely, we will see another freeze before spring comes to stay in San Antonio.  For San Antonio, the average last spring freeze is March 6th.

If you are eager to get started on your garden, there are many types of plants that can be planted now.  Trees, evergreens and hardy shrubs can be planted all year round in San Antonio.

Customer Spotlight:  La Cantera Parkway

The project was a collaboration between the owners, Spaw Glass, the landscape architects, J. Robert Anderson Landscape Architect, and Preferred to create a redesign of the landscape of the entry way into the La Cantera property and the parkway.  We offered our design and installation experience to create a plan that would efficiently irrigate the landscape.  Especially, during a drought.  We installed drip irrigation throughout the project, so that each plant and sod area receives water without waste.  There is low runoff/overspray throughout the landscape.
