Stage 1 Drought Restrictions What does it mean to me?
On April 12th, SAWS annouced the start of Stage 1 drought restrictions. Hand watering with a hand-held hose, soaker hose, drip irrigation, bucket or watering can is permitted any time and any day.
Watering with an irrigation system or sprinkler is allowed only once per week before 10am or after 8pm on your designated watering day as deteremined by your address.

San Antonio will likely be moved to stage 2 drought restrictions in the next few weeks. In stage 2, all the restrictions of stage 1 remain in effect with the following additions:
Watering from an irrigation system, sprinkler or soaker hose is allowed only once a week from 3-8am and 8-10pm on your designated watering day (see chart above).
Watering with drip irrigation or 5 gallon bucket is permitted any day but only between 3-8am and 8-10pm.
Watering with a hand-held hose is allowed any time on any day.
