Over $1000 cash and supplies raised to support area schools at Preferred.
Thursday, July 22, Preferred held an open house in conjunction with the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Leon Springs Business Association. Conjunctively, we were able to help put San Antonio children on the road to success with much needed school supplies.
"Easily one-third of Bexar County's school children come from families that can't afford to buy them school supplies, according to India Chumney, director of resource development for Communities in Schools. That's about 100,000 local students."
