Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you, once again, for your interest in our work and the support you give to our young people around the world. In spite of the global recession, our work goes on: 65,000 children and teachers use our program that transmits the universal values that help prevent the causes of hopelessness, youth violence and poverty. We like to say that we are building common ground out of common sense!!

If you glance at our newsletter and links, I hope you will be impressed by our exciting news and expansion in this past year and I hope you will appreciate the tremendous impact we are having on these kids and teachers in 11 countries in Latin America.

As we close out the year, I know that many of you are considering making donations to worthy causes and I would like to ask you to support our important work with young people in Latin America. As in previous years, we have dedicated all donations from our friends to a Book Fund for the poorest schools in the hemisphere.

You will really get a bang for your buck because with $150 you can bring our character development program to a whole classroom. (Typically, there are 30 children per class.) This amount would include training for their teacher. Naturally, we would be most grateful for any contribution that you would care to make, and so would the needy families that would receive the books.

Exciting and innovative things are happening in Latin America, the U.K., Spain and Africa... please look at www.allianceforfamily.org and tell your friends!

Best wishes,

Cristina Burelli

Christmas for a Cause:

1.  You can give books to the needy!

The goal is to put books in the hands of children.

Your entire donation to AFF goes into a Book Fund for the poorest schools in the country or region of your choice.

These are parents and teachers who beg us for our materials, and we have always done what we can to help them.

The books cost about $5.00 to print and ship, so a $150 contribution supplies a whole classroom ... yes, at least 30 children to a teacher is typical.
