| Receives FAA 141 Certification |
FAA Air Agency License We are excited to announce a huge milestone this month for Jacobs Flight Services. After two years of applications, inspections, and testing we have received our FAA 141 Flight School Certification. This certification, in short, has to be structured in accordance with very stringent guidelines monitored closely by the FAA. In addition, the student pass rate on the first attempt must be kept very high to achieve and maintain this certification. | Pilot Currency |
Are You Current or Proficient? Keep in mind, that being current does't make you proficient. Just as a reminder to Club Members and Renters, I have posted online quizes on our website for all the aircraft to help refresh your memory on aircraft systems and operations. The questions will be changed periodically to keep it challenging. The quizes will be mandatory at least every 12 months for renters and Club Members. The quizes alone won't keep your flying skills sharp so don't stay grounded too long!

| Pilot Phraseology Change |
"Line Up and Wait" It's been almost a month now since the FAA has adopted the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) phraseology of "Line Up and Wait" to replace "Taxi Into Position and Hold". ICAO rules are those in effect when operating outside the United States but the time has come for more standardized procedures across the globe so therefore we will see many more changes in the future I am certain.........
