Presidents' Day
Greetings!

Presidents' Day is a federal holiday that commemorates all of our presidents, most significantly Presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. At least 32 National Park Service sites honor the lives of the American presidents. You can learn about the lives of these men and the impact they had on building the nation through these sites.

Visit our American Presidents Store and learn more about the shapers of our country. Save 15% on your entire eParks order through Saturday February 25, 2012. See coupon below for details.
Did You Know?
Washignton Crossing
George Washington isn't the only future president depicted in Emanuel Leutze's "Washington Crossing the Delaware". James Monroe is the man shown holding the flag. James Madison also crossed the cold river that night, but he is not identified in this work.
Visiting America's national parks is a great way to learn about the lives and legacies of our presidents. You can find a park near you here

"There is nothing so American as our national parks.... The fundamental idea behind the parks...is that the country belongs to the people, that it is in process of making for the enrichment of the lives of all of us." -Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1936).

Sincerely,
