For 35 years, the Women's Center has been at the forefront of ending domestic violence. Reports of Teen Dating Violence are on the rise and we are mission bound to address it. This workshop promises to be fun, engaging and informative. Register today!
The repercussions of dating violence are impossible to ignore - they hurt not just the young people victimized but also their families, friends, schools and communities. The goal of this training is to raise individual awareness about dating violence, teach healthy relationship skills and prevent the devastating cycle of abuse.

Written, produced and directed by award winning playwright, Thomas Meloncon, exclusively for the Houston Area Women's Center, Four Songs in the Key of Love is an engaging drama that addresses breast cancer, sexual assault, domestic violence and AIDS.
This engaging play takes the audience through the tumultuous and yet victorious journey of its four lead characters. These four women will cry together, bond together, dance away their sorrows, and finally, sing four riveting songs together in the key of love.

*The first Star Wars Movie was released? **The Houston Area Women's Center began its 35 year journey with just two employees and an army of advocates ready to put an end to Domestic Violence in Houston! We're going back to 1977 where it all began for the Houston Area Women's Center. It's a Solid Gold Throwback party to honor our dedicated and committed volunteers and recognize our friends in the Media who have helped us spread the word about domestic and sexual violence. So, kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with us, mark your calendars for October 6, dust off your dancing shoes and come Back to the Future with us! |

Join Young Leaders at Wish Warehouse Boutique for a great evening fun-packed with a silent auction, delicious desserts, a DJ, cocktails, a piņata and great fashion tips from experts! This event will be held at Wish Boutique (1614 Westheimer Rd. Houston, 77006) from 6-9 p.m. and Wish will donate 10% of sales made to the Houston Area Women's Center. Come out and support us!
