First of all, happy belated Mother's Day to all of the mom's out there! We at Evans hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend.
We have yet again a lot of really good information in this newsletter. There are multiple complimentary webinars coming up, a new Tip/Trick to add to your arsenal, a quick recap from this quarter's OPUG meetings, and more! I highly recommend that you take full advantage of these complimentary items as they are free! Who couldn't use a little bit more knowledge/information, especially when it doesn't cost you anything?
 Now is also the time to register for your Primavera PM Software training as we have a really great deal going on through the month of May. You can even choose to train in Orlando and take the family along with you for a little summer vaca! (Not a bad idea, huh?)

OPUG MEETING RECAP
 The recent OPUG Meetings went very well! P6 Release 8 topics are still heavy on everyone's minds... keep the questions coming! That's what this group is all about.
At the Atlanta meeting we discussed multiple topics including backing up your database in P6, risk management and Collaborate 11. We also have a few future topics and presentations in mind, but we need your feedback!
Please take just a moment to answer a few questions to help us plan next quarter's OPUG meeting according to what YOU want to learn more about!
We are also in the process of collecting member bios in order to create a member profile page. This page will be for OPUG members only and will help facilitate better conversation and interaction between members, particularly when a member needs help with a certain product or has a question about something specific. Q: While working in P6, I sometimes get confused as to what information is on my screen. How can I quickly figure out what data I am currently viewing?
A: Your data can be sorted, filtered or grouped while in Primavera P6. This feature is very helpful because it allows the user to focus only on the data that they need at that time. In order to find out what data is currently on screen (and what perhaps is missing), try this 4-step process...

TECHIE SPOTLIGHT : Amy Klein
Amy Klein is the Professional Services Coordinator at Evans Technology. Working closely with the sales staff to evaluate customer needs and expectations, she determines the appropriate resource and works with the customer to coordinate the engagements. Amy has worked with enterprise project management products for over thirteen years as a trainer, instructional designer and implementation consultant.
Amy is a Certified Primavera trainer, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a Microsoft Certified IT Professional. She has implemented Enterprise Project Management solutions and developed customized training programs for Fortune 100 customers in a variety of industries. She has presented at several conferences on such topics as scheduling concepts, training and project management. Amy has introduced Primavera to many industry-leading organizations and trained hundreds of project managers and stakeholders in the use of the tool and supporting business processes.
When asked what she likes most about her job, Amy's first response was "not traveling", which was followed by a little laugh. "Honestly, I really enjoy interacting with clients in various industries and just helping people be more successful in general". Outside of the office, Amy enjoys photography, hiking & running. She has also participated in multiple marathons across the nation.
As you can see, many characteristics make Amy a wonderful asset to the Evans Tech team, from her knowledge to her personality. We are very happy to have her on board! |
