"NOLA's Resilience" Massive Mosaic to be Unveiled
 "NOLA's Resilience," a massive mosaic of over 250,000 Mardi Gras beads created by internationally-known artist Stephan Wanger, will be unveiled at 6:30 PM on August 25th at the JW Marriott at 641 Canal Street. The art will be placed in an eBay online auction, and a portion of the funds raised will go to LPBF. The unveiling will follow a traditional Jazz Funeral & secondline to mark the 5th Anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and to recognize the struggle, perseverance, and rebirth of a state and its people. Auctions in August help Save Our Lighthouse!

Monday, August 2nd through Tuesday, August 31st "Auctions in
August" is Gulf Coast Bank & Trust's annual silent auction event that is hosted
at each of their 16 branches. The auction is open to
the general public. LPBF has donated several items to the auction, the proceeds from which will go towards rebuilding the New Canal Lighthouse. Read more... |
