Christmon Awarded Seeds for Success Acorn Award by Purdue
Ken Christmon Associate Vice Chancellor Ken Christmon was recently honored by Purdue University with his third Seeds for Success bronze acorn award.

Christmon's award recognizes the $1.2 million Student Support Services TRIO grant from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), which was awarded in September 2010 to IPFW.

Featured Faculty Lecture Series
Todor Cooklev IPFW's Featured Faculty Lecture Series continues Friday, February 17, when Associate Professor of Wireless Communication Todor Cooklev presents "Modern Wireless Systems."


Every Friday in February, students, faculty, staff, and the public are invited to meet the Featured Faculty and learn more about their outstanding work. Lectures are from noon to 1 p.m. on the second floor of the Helmke Library.  All attendees can enjoy free pizza and soda. Read about the lectures ... 

IPFW Hosts Paleontological Society Distinguished Lecturer
Patricia Kelly A topic receiving a lot of recent attention is the debate over teaching creationism in public schools. IPFW's College of Arts and Sciences and Department of Geosciences, and the Paleontological Society are proud to sponsor Paleontological Society Distinguished Lecturer Patricia H. Kelley, who will share her perspectives on the evolution-creation controversy from the perspective of one who is both a paleontologist and a person of faith.

12th Annual WBOI Jazz Festival
SaxophoneThe spotlight will be focused on northeast Indiana's live, local jazz talent during the 12th annual WBOI Jazz Festival presented by IPFW. Renowned saxophonist Eric Alexander will headline an evening of jazz in the Rhinehart Music Center this Friday, February 17. UC2 logo Following the 2012 "The City" theme and as part of Black History Month, University Community Conversations (UC�) will present a panel discussion on February 23 about the civil rights movement in Fort Wayne.
