Three Rivers Festival Time at IPFW

Mastodon BalloonThe Three Rivers Festival is coming soon! Fly a giant Mastodon, help kids create a fun sock puppet, or serve ice cream and dance to the Fort Wayne Community Band. IPFW is looking for volunteers from the campus community to help represent the university in these summer traditions.

 

TRF Festival Parade: Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m., downtown Fort Wayne. Walk with a banner or help guide a GIANT balloon. Must be able to walk several miles and be available from 7 a.m. to noon. Contact Susan Alderman, aldermas@ipfw.edu.

 

Ice Cream Social: Monday, July 11, 7-8:30 p.m., IPFW campus. Serve ice cream, collect money, or "run" supplies. Shifts run from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Contact Laurel Alberson, albersol@ipfw.edu

 

Children's Fest: Friday and Saturday, July 15 and 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., IPFW campus. Help kids create sock puppets and make mastodon sounds with kazoos. Three shifts available: 10 a.m.- noon, noon-2 p.m., or 2-4 p.m. Contact Louise Teague, teaguel@ipfw.edu.

Seeking Volunteers for SOAR Summer Sessions

SOAR logoThe SOAR committee is recruiting volunteers for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR). The website is ready to go, and dates have been set (PDF).
