Alumni Office Moves Thursday

The Alumni Relations
office is officially moving across the river to the new building on April 7 and will be open for business 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Monday, April 11.

SAB Spring Fling Festivities

Spring FlingThe Student Activitity Board's annual Spring Fling will be April 11-15. Among the festivities will be a number of fundraisers, a blood drive, and a drive-in movie at Cole Commons. The committee is seeking volunteers from the entire IPFW community to help throughout the week. Volunteers will be among the first to receive freebies.

 

Faculty and staff are also being asked to help spread information about the blood drive on April 14 and 15. If you'd like to register in advance to make a donation, you may do so at redcrossblood.org, sponsor code: ipfw. Spring Fling flyer (PDF)

Mastodons and Boilermakers Meet at Parkview Field April 13

Tusky Logo IPFW Baseball will take on the Purdue Boilermakers at Parkview Field April 13 at 7:30 p.m. This will be the first NCAA Division I baseball game at the stadium.

 

Athletics would like extend an invitation to the campus community. All tickets are $5, first come, first served. Batter up! Boiler down! 

Alcohol Awareness and Screening Tomorrow; Mastodon Stomp April 10

Don2Alcohol Awareness and Screening Day is tomorrow, April 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Walb Student Union. It is free and open to the public. Activities include:

  • Private screening
  • "How to Help a Friend with an Addiction," presented by Don Smith, noon to 1 p.m.
  • Fatal vision goggles
  • Display tables and educational handouts
  • Free food and beverages

Also this week: the annual Mastodon Stomp Run/Walk on April 10 at Walb Student Union. Information and registration form 

Sensitive Easter Bunny

BunniesThe Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders will sponsor a Sensitive Easter Bunny for children with disabilities Friday, April 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Walb Union, Room 114.

 

The mall bunny is too overwhelming for many children with disabilities; this free event will minimize distractions and stimulation so children can be comfortable and enjoy the experience. Families should RSVP to 260-481-6410 or [email protected].

International Youth Exchange Expo

 IPFW will host an International Youth Exchange Expo Saturday, April 16, in Walb Student Union. The event is designed to excite and inform middle and high schools students and parents about the opportunities and advantages of international study and travel.

Summerfest Volunteers Needed

Several volunteer opportunities are still available for Summerfest on Wednesday, June 29:

  • Decorations
  • Manning games or other events
  • Helping with popcorn and the slush machine
  • Other things too numerous to mention!
