Luo Named One of "40 under 40"  Wei Luo, assistant professor of communication, has been named one of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly's "40 under 40." Nominees must be from northeast Indiana and under the age of 40.
Luo was nominated by Irwin Mallin, associate professor and lead advisor in the Department of Communication. Among other achievements, Luo was recognized for "...helping IPFW students learn about other cultures while meeting an urgent community need by helping refugees adapt to their new culture." |

COAS Recognizes Andrew Downs for Regional Engagement
 The College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) has recognized Andrew Downs as the recipient of its first Regional Engagement Award. Downs is the director of the Mike Downs Center for Indiana Politics and an assistant professor of political science.
The COAS Community Board established the new award to recognize and celebrate COAS members who are committed to outstanding and high-impact engagement with northeast Indiana. Full story ... |

Annual Alumni Relations Easter Basket Collection for SCAN
 IPFW Alumni Relations and seven area college and university alumni offices are collecting Easter baskets for children of SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) through April 15. The project is sponsored by the Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium.
Baskets should be filled with commercially wrapped items and wrapped so that nothing falls out. Drop off baskets at the Kettler Hall or Walb Union information desks or the alumni office in Walb Union, Room 125. For more information, contact 260-481-6807 or alumni@ipfw.edu. |
