United Way "Put Yourself in the Picture Award" Goes to Continuing Studies
The Division of Continuing Studies took the EAT UNITED challenge seriously. Organizers Vicki Bandor-Braun and Jan-Marie Zimmerman packed brown bag lunches for everyone in the department. Some sacks had nutritious food, some junk food, and some were filled with newspaper. Each person read a fact inside their lunch bag--many children miss a meal or pack their own lunch. The staff played United Way Program Pictionary, watched the United Way video, and several people shared about their agency visits or personal experiences. This luncheon impacted both awareness of the need and motivation to contribute to the mission of the United Way.
Thank you Continuing Studies, for putting yourselves in the picture!

Alcohol and Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy
IPFW recognizes the health risks associated with controlled substance use and alcohol misuse and is committed to supporting students and employees who seek treatment for these conditions. The University also recognizes that controlled substance use and alcohol misuse diminish workplace and campus safety and undermine the University's ability to fulfill its mission of education, research, and service. The University has therefore developed an Alcohol and Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy.
Every year the University is required by the federal government to advise you of the University's alcohol and drug policy. Please visit the WorkLife Programs Employee Assistance Web site for comprehensive information about University regulations, state and federal laws, health effects, impacts of violations, and campus resources. A summary of the information available on the Web site is available here (PDF)... |
