Vice Chancellor for Financial Affairs Walt Branson announced today two temporary parking areas are now open to handle overflow parking in both the north and south areas of campus.
On the north side of campus when Lots 12, 13, and 16 are full, drivers can use the grassy area off Broyles Avenue near the tennis courts. The exit from this temporary lot will be on the north side of the field, back onto Broyles Avenue.
When the lots are full on the south side of campus, additional parking is available on across the St. Joseph River, on California Road. A temporary lot is accessible from the south end of California Road onto the former Carrington Field. Access to campus is via the Venderly Bridge.
In addition, Branson said the west end of Lot 13, located behind the Medical Education Center, is now all "A" parking. He said University Police will be monitoring parking for the first weeks of the fall semester and that additional parking changes will be announced as necessary.
