Visalli Awarded National Institutes of Health Grant
Robert J. Visalli | Robert J. Visalli, associate professor of biology, has been awarded a $220,500 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for his research project, Varicella-zoster virus DNA encapsidation proteins. He will be investigating a series of novel drug candidates that prevent infectious herpesvirus particles from forming in infected cells. The new NIH grant will provide student researchers with extensive laboratory experience in molecular virology. Read more. |
Carr Named Marcus Center Fellow
Steven A. Carr | Steven A. Carr was named a Marcus Center Fellow by the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives. The associate professor of communication will conduct extensive research at the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati, Ohio during the 2010-2011 academic year. The Fellowship will require a month-long residency at the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati. Read more. |
Submit Your Best To The Rivers and Bridges of Northeast Indiana Exhibition One of many events at the upcoming IPFW RiverFest, The Rivers and Bridges of Northeast Indiana Exhibition will showcase the best paintings, works on paper, mixed media work, and photography in northeast Indiana that represents our rivers or bridges. Submissions are currently being accepted, and the selected artwork will be exhibited at the festival on June 26. There will be a $250 award for Best in Show, $150 for 2nd place, and $100 for 3rd.
